Synfig Animations

This is not a game but a test of the open-source animation software Synfig.

I tried using the program to do some character art. I drew several characters and I also animated some of them though it was really simple animations.

Synfig uses vectors like Illustrator which allowed me to draw well without a drawing tablet.

Vallekilde Chronicles

The school has been overrun with gamers! It's up to you to rid the school of this horrid curse.

Six people joined forces to make a game about our school. I was the main artist and manager on the project. I drew and animated the game's bosses and playable character.

In this 2D shooter you play as ”The New Kid” who arrives at Vallekilde Folk High School. The school has been taken over by game design students who have turned it into a violent dictatorship. Soon you see yourself fighting their oppression alongside the rebellion. You'll face up against the gamer's elite and take them down one by one until you reach their devious leader.

Mission 88

For a soldier, there is always another battle. Whether you're a green Synergist or a red Re:action, you know you have to fight.

Mission 88 is a board game I created based on first-person shooter war games. I designed the rules for the game. I also designed and produced the board game pieces.

In this game you take on the role of the commander of either Synergist or Re:action. You assemble a squad of three different kinds of soldiers. Your mission is to take down the other player's squad using dice to determine whether or not you hit your opponent. The game is played on a board with hexagonal squares and walls you place yourself in the fashion you want.

Tale of Pallasmiot

A lonely titan inhabits the anarchistic desert of Guâhn-Tan. Some say he has been wandering for millennia.

Tale of Pallasmiot is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure using the fifth edition. I act as the dungeon master telling about Melan. Melan is a world I created with all of it's inhabitants and lore. I also made maps and paper miniatures.

The players take on the roles of a shady bunch of characters drawn to the region of Guâhn-Tan. Traveling along the Eastern route they encounter the titan Pallasmiot which change their lives. Now they are on an adventure to discover the secrets burried in the sand.

Visuelle Verdener

This was actually not a game but a two-week course at Vallekilde Folk High School.

Visuelle verdener (meaning visual worlds) was a course intended to teach us about making concept art. We were handed a comic book and told to imagine a game drawing inspiration from any part of the book. Then we were instructed to draw a scene, a character, and a weapon.

This course taught me how to use a drawing tablet.

Trial of Jibril

The annual blood ritual is upon us! Will you emerge victorious in the honourable sport of sacrificing goblin fluids to the great god of Jibril?

Trial of Jibril is a 2v2 top-down multiplayer sports game. I drew and animated the characters, fireballs, explosions, and props.

In this fast-paced sports game you act as a warlock attending the annual blood ritual. Here it is your duty to make sure that the ball (a goblin chained to a rock) stays inside your pentagram. You move the ball by shooting fireballs at it. If you keep the ball in your pentagram long enough, Jibril will be pleased and grant you victory.

Hi! I'm Mark. I'm a 20-year-old Danish game developer currently studying at the IT-University of Copenhagen.

I do game design, level design, visual design and animation. I have experience in Adobe´s Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash, and a basic knowledge of Unity and Blender.

Most of the projects presented on this page were created during my stay at Vallekilde Folk High School.

Maze

Alone you stumble through a dark maze guided by luminescent sonar waves climbing up the walls.

Maze is a first-person puzzle game created at Exile Game Jam in the spring of 2015. I worked as the level designer creating a maze consisting of sterile hallways and adventurous caverns.

In the game you play as a blind man who suddenly finds himself in a place he does not know. He tries navigating the hallways with the help of sound. The sound appears as light blue rings spawning from where stand. The rings shoots down the hallways and reveals that getting out of the maze won't be that easy.

Real Life Murder

Their screams echoes down the hall. The murderers truly are among us.

Real Life Murder is a live-action game I created based on a mod from the game Garry's Mod. The game was played in February 2015 at Vallekilde Folk High School

The concept is simple:
100 people are set loose in a large building but 5 of them are armed with theater daggers. They have 1 hour to kill all the civilians. However the civilians will defend themselves. In the building 5 pink balls lies hidden. These balls will kill anyone they are thrown at. But who should you kill when the murderers hide among the masses?

Real Time Werewolf

The townspeople awake to a horrifying sight: the body of their dear friend torn to pieces and scattered all over the street. But who could have done such a thing?

Real Time Werewolf was a The Werewolves of Miller´s Hollow game set in real time. It had 31 participants and lasted about 30 days. I was the game master and I used a facebook-group to keep track of it all. I used facebook´s voting system to hold votes on who should be executed.

I regularly posted silly photoshopped images of the participants. At a certain point I allowed the deceased players to send the living cryptic messages which I photoshopped into images.
